6th Annual “Erase the Stigma Not Her Name” Virtual Symposium

July 7 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The ground beneath today’s workforce is shifting rapidly bringing unprecedented challenges that are affecting employee mental health, overall well-being and quality of life. Workers are facing heightened levels of stress to navigate a complex and evolving employment landscape. Swift advances in artificial intelligence, organizational restructuring, economic uncertainty, political instability, and reductions in workforce have intensified anxiety, concerns about job security and the future of work. At the same time, many employees are balancing demanding careers with family demands such as caregiving responsibilities for children, elder care for aging parents, support for family members, financial pressures and household obligations – all while navigating the demands of the careers and the work environment. Workers are struggling with the need to juggle multiple roles and priorities.

These converging pressures are a recipe for disaster, pushing resilience to its limits, fueling anxiety, accelerating burnout, elevating stress levels to the max, rising levels of depression, psychological distress and emotional fatigue beyond recognition across the workforce. The cumulative effect is reshaping the workplace culture, employee engagement, productivity, and retention.

Join us for this timely 6th Annual “Erase the Stigma Not Her Name” Virtual Symposium as behavioral health professionals, workplace executives, advocates, employees, researchers, faith leaders, and community partners examine the evolving mental health landscape in the workplace. Together they will explore emerging trends, identify warning signs and stigmas that prevent individuals from seeking help, discuss the growing intersection between workplace stress and relationship violence, and highlight how workforce mental health disproportionately impacts black and brown people and contributes to broader health inequities. Innovative strategies for supporting employee well-being and at work will also be discussed.
