The Mayor's Office of LGBTQ Affairs invites you to join us as we raise the LGBTQIA+ Flag in honor of Pride Month! You're invited! The annual LGBTQIA+ Flag Raising at the Wilson Building serves as the official civic kickoff to Pride Month in the District of Columbia. In 2026, the 4th annual ceremony will hold special significance as part of the 20th Anniversary celebration of the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs (MOLGBTQA). The raising of the LGBTQIA+ flag at the seat of DC government symbolizes progress, visibility, resilience, and the District’s enduring institutional commitment to equity and inclusion for LGBTQIA+ residents. Make sure to stick around for the reception after the ceremony! For the first time, we will continue the celebration in the Main Lobby of the John A. Wilson Building following the ceremony for a community reception, featuring music from DJ Cake Pop! and mocktails from Spark Social.
