Housing Services
Rapid ReHousing for Single Individuals (RRH-I) is one of Hillcrest’s signature extended services for clients. Homeless Services Program (HSP) programs provide access to permanent housing, short-term subsidies and case management to eligible individuals in the district. RRH-I is a short-term subsidy program assisting low-income homeless individuals find affordable housing by providing short-term rental assistance to help participants pay rent in public and privately owned properties across the district. The Department of Human Services (DHS) uses Local District Funds to operate the RRH-I subsidy program. Here at Hillcrest, clients are connected to Case Management Services to assist with autonomy in their housing stabilization process for a successful discharge into society. Our attentive Housing Team go beyond the call of duty to assist clients.
Employment Services
Hillcrest offers an array of employment services to assist with employment. 100% Supported Employment referred are placed in a job within 30-60 days of referral.
73% maintain their employment for 90 days or longer.
The average hourly rate for those placed is $22 per hour, which is 6+ dollars above DC Living wage.
Supportive Employment Services:
Provides evidence-based support and assists with employment services for our clients. Our staff assist clients with creating resumes, interviewing skills, job coaching, relationship building with community business owners, and ongoing support to assist with retaining employment.
